Marble Draw

Choose how many marbles you want, write something on each one, then draw them one at a time at random. (2-60 marbles)

About the marble draw

The marble draw is a simple way to randomly pick names or entries one at a time from a group — useful for raffles, deciding turn order, picking a winner, or randomly assigning people to a task without repeats. Each entry becomes a marble in the jar, and drawing removes one marble at a time until the jar is empty.

How the draw works

Each draw picks one marble uniformly at random from the marbles still remaining in the jar and removes it, so every remaining entry has an equal chance each time, and no entry can be drawn twice. Drawing continues until all entries have been picked, giving you a fully randomized order for the whole group.

Frequently asked questions

Can the same name be drawn twice?
No. Once a marble is drawn, it's removed from the jar, so every entry appears exactly once in the results list by the time all marbles are drawn.
Is the draw order truly random?
Each remaining marble has an equal chance of being picked at every draw, using your browser's random number generator — sufficiently random and unpredictable for games, raffles, and everyday fair selection.
How many entries can I add?
You can add between 2 and 60 entries at once, which covers most group sizes from small teams to full classrooms.
