Choose domestic (KOSPI/KOSDAQ) or overseas (US) stocks, then enter your current buy price, quantity, and target return rate (%) to calculate the target sell price and net profit needed to actually achieve that return — after brokerage fees and securities transaction tax for domestic stocks, or after FX rate and capital gains tax for overseas stocks. Domestic stocks also show the expected gain/loss if the price hits the upper or lower daily limit (±30%).
The rate at the time of sale is a future value you can't know yet, so enter your own estimate. Auto-filled with the purchase rate by default — edit it to model a weaker or stronger won.
Based on net (after-tax) profit relative to your invested capital. E.g. entering 10 targets +10%.
Auto-filled with a typical online brokerage rate for the selected market — edit it to match your own broker's rate.
Enter the details above to calculate the result.
The upper/lower limit prices simply apply KOSPI/KOSDAQ's ±30% daily price limit to your current buy price. The actual limit price is set relative to the previous day's closing price and rounded to the exchange's tick size, so it may differ from this buy-price-based estimate.
Unlike KOSPI/KOSDAQ, US stocks have no daily price limit (upper/lower band) system, so this section isn't shown.
The overseas capital gains tax (22%) applies the full annual basic deduction of ₩2,500,000 to this trade alone and assumes no withholding at the time of sale. In reality, the deduction and rate apply to your combined annual gains and losses across all overseas stock trades, and the tax is assessed and paid separately when you file between May 1–31 of the following year.
The target sell price is derived by taking your invested capital plus your target return, then working backward through the selling costs (brokerage fee and securities transaction tax for domestic stocks, capital gains tax for overseas stocks). For domestic stocks, the upper/lower limit outcomes assume you sell at exactly +30% / −30% from your buy price. This is an estimate for reference only, not investment or tax advice — check the latest fee rates, tax rates, exchange rates, and actual quoted prices before trading.
