Enter the engine displacement and vehicle age to calculate the vehicle tax.
This calculator estimates Korea's annual vehicle tax for a non-commercial passenger car (자가용) using the standard rates (₩80 per cc up to 1,000cc, ₩140 per cc up to 1,600cc, and ₩200 per cc above 1,600cc) and the age-based reduction rate, which applies 5 percentage points per year starting from the 3rd year after first registration, up to a 50% cap at 12 years or more. Local education tax is calculated as 30% of the vehicle tax after reduction. In practice, the annual amount is split into two installments billed in June (1st) and December (2nd) (some local governments bill the full amount in June when it is below a certain threshold), and this calculator does not reflect commercial passenger cars, trucks/vans and other vehicle types, electric/hybrid vehicle rules, the special reduction for light (kei-class) vehicles under 1,000cc, or the early-payment discount available when the annual tax is prepaid in a lump sum. Confirm the exact amount via Wetax or your local tax office. This is not tax advice.
